Cookie Policy

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They help sites remember your preferences and understand how you use them. Wild West Win also uses similar browser technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage — this policy covers those too.

Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies and storage to keep Wild West Win running smoothly, remember your consent and age-gate status, and understand in aggregate how visitors use our games. We do not use cookies to identify you personally or to serve targeted advertising based on your browsing history across other sites.

Categories of Cookies We Use

CategoryPurposeExamplesDuration
Strictly necessary Core site operation — session security, age-gate record, cookie-consent record. No consent required. __age_ok, __cc_v1, __cf_bm Session to 12 months
Performance / analytics Anonymous traffic measurement to understand how visitors use the site. Set only with consent. Cloudflare Web Analytics (__cf_*) Up to 30 days
Functional Remembers UI preferences such as game volume and accepted age-gate state across visits. Set only with consent. localStorage keys (game prefs) Up to 12 months
Advertising / targeting The site may include third-party advertising cookies from Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising when a visitor arrives via a paid campaign. These track campaign attribution only and are set solely with consent. See Google's ads cookie policy and Microsoft's privacy statement. Google Ads (_gcl_*), Microsoft UET (_uetmsclkid) Up to 13 months

Lawful Basis

Wild West Win serves visitors in the United States. Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of legitimate interest — they are essential to the secure operation of the site and require no consent. All other categories (performance, functional, advertising) are set only after you give explicit consent via the on-page banner. You can withdraw that consent at any time by selecting "Essential only" in the cookie banner or by clearing the relevant storage keys in your browser.

How to Manage Cookies on Wild West Win

When you first visit the site, a banner offers two choices: Accept all (enables all four categories) or Essential only (strictly necessary only). Your choice is stored in localStorage.__cc_v1. To change your preference later, clear that key using your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → wild-westwin.com) or use the "Essential only" option if the banner reappears after clearing cookies.

How to Manage Cookies in Your Browser

You can block, delete, or review cookies at any time using your browser's settings:

Third-Party Cookies and Services

The following third parties may set cookies or process data when you use Wild West Win with consent enabled:

  • Cloudflare — CDN, security, and anonymous analytics. Cloudflare cookies help protect the site from abuse and measure aggregate traffic. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Google — Google Ads conversion tracking may be activated when a visitor arrives via a paid Google Ads campaign. No personalised ad profiling occurs without explicit consent. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft — Microsoft Advertising (UET tag) may be activated for paid-campaign attribution only. Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Wild West Win honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics and advertising cookies — only strictly necessary cookies will be set. The older Do Not Track (DNT) header is noted but does not have a consistent industry definition; GPC is our operative standard.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
